1. Vodafone sim cards for Ukrainian Refugees
Following a successful partnership with UNISON on 2 April 2022 to bring together members of the Ukrainian community in Dorset, the charity was approached by attendees of this event to partner in securing sim cards from Vodafone. See attached link, https://youtu.be/UniFmiUT8pg
2. Accessible dance classes
Following a donation from Bournemouth Masonic Lodge (Kinson Lodge), monies were made available to offer a 12 x week courses for children whose family resources do not allow for dance lessons
3. Mobile phones for Ukrainian Refugees
Following a successful partnership with Vodafone in June 2022 to bring to supply sim cards to Ukrainian Refugees in Dorset, the charity was supplied a number of mobile phones from the Refugee Council. These will be distributed on a needs basis.
4. CAMHS music therapy
AAA partnered with the Absolute Music Trust to deliver music therapy sessions. AAA funded the sessions delivered in 2023. Six one hour sessions.
The music group aims to: provide an alternative environment to the clinic to boost engagement with CAMHS, encourage peer-based learning and support, teach coping strategies through music production, teach active listening skills, encourage emotional coping through listening to and producing music, build self-esteem and confidence, encourage exploration of emotional states and promote mental wellbeing.
5. Introduction to Hip Hop
Dance workshop with external teacher, support the community hub and provide access to dance during the school holidays.
